Stephens and Ivan Stephenson quest has taken them thousands of
kilometres from London, England and about 500 Km to the lake side city
of Kisumu. They are on a challenge to travel all around Lake Victoria
and their first stop is Kisumu looking to head on to Kampala, Uganda
then Jinja in Tanzania. Their trip to Kenya has already seen them visit
the capital city Nairobi and Mombasa.They visited the tourism
Information centre the morning of 7th November 2012 looking for
information on where the great beauty the city has to offer are located
and our highly motivated and trained staff were more than eager to be of
service.
Since it was the day after America's 2012 elections, our
conversations drifted to Presidents Obama's narrow win be re-elected
as the president of the United States and they promised to visit K'ogelo
village to also take part in the celebrations and festivities that were
taking place. Before they left they shared with us their pride as a
nation of having the opportunity to host the 2012 Olympic games. We wish
them the best in their endeavors.
